CLAYTON, Mo. – A home healthcare worker will appear in court later this week to face charges of stealing jewelry from two of her clients.
According to a probable cause statement from the Bridgeton Police Department, the crimes happened between Feb. 7 and Feb. 12 at a home in the 3700 block of Red Hawk Court.
Two gold chains and three gold wedding bands belonging to the homeowners had been stolen. Police learned the couple, one legally blind and the other bedridden, had hired two home healthcare workers around this time.
A detective searched pawn shop records and discovered one of the nurses, identified as Andrea A. Todd, sold a gold herringbone necklace, a gold wedding band, and gold hoop earrings to a particular pawn shop for $800.
