MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison police say several juveniles were arrested early Monday after officers recovered a stolen vehicle on the city’s west side.

Officers responded around 12:39 a.m. to the 2300 block of Columbus Lane for reports of teens pulling license plates and throwing items into bushes. The group ran when police arrived.

A perimeter was set, and a K-9 and drone were used to find all of the juveniles. Police say one had a backpack with burglary tools.

The vehicle was later confirmed stolen from a nearby jurisdiction. The teens were taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on recommended charges including operating a motor vehicle without consent, resisting, and possession of burglary tools.
