Classical pianist Hunter Noack , who is known for bringing his piano to America’s most scenic landscapes, brought his 1912 Steinway grand piano to the Gerry Frank Amphitheater in Salem’s Riverfront Park Friday, Sept. 19.
At one point in the concert he invited anyone in the audience to come to the stage for a unique musical experience. Noack asked anyone interested to come to the stage and to lie beneath the 9 foot grand piano as he performed in order to experience the full acoustic qualities of the instrument.
The rest of the audience listened to the performance with wireless headphones which allowed them to walk around in the park enjoying the beauties of the park setting while listening to Noack’s music.
