KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department has released the name of the victim from the fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on I-14 last Thursday.

Police have identified the deceased rider of the motorcycle as 28-year-old Jeffrey Pogany. Authorities have not released any additional information about Pogany.

The identity of the juvenile driver of the car that hit Pogany's motorcycle while attempting to over take him is still unknown.

Officials are still actively investigating the accident.

What happened?

The Killeen Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle crash on westbound I-14 at the Trimmier overpass on Sept. 18 at 4:17 a.m.. Police revealed that the crash occurred after a motorcycle was struck by a personal vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.
