WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 44-year-old Millwood man was arrested September 17 after deputies discovered methamphetamine in his vehicle, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies patrolling the Core Road Park and Ride observed a female passenger slumped in the vehicle with the door open.

Upon approaching, the woman sat up and partially closed the door.

Contact with both the driver and passenger revealed a strip of tin foil containing an unknown liquid between the seats.

When the driver, identified as Matthew Lee Harding of Point Pleasant Road, exited the vehicle, a container fell to the ground. Harding admitted it contained methamphetamine.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
