Changes to H-1B visas cause confusion in Silicon Valley

Panic and insecurity abound after a weekend change to the H-1B visa program that many high tech workers and companies in Silicon Valley count on.

Three days after the Trump administration announced changes to H-1B visas, including a $100,000 fee, there was a bit of a walk-back. But not enough to clear up the confusion.

Many visa holders did not know what it would mean for their immigration status and thus employment status.

Congressman Sam Liccardo was in Mountain View on Monday answering some questions about the confusion.
