DENVER — You may need to hold onto your hot pumpkin spice latte a little tighter as Colorado is set to see its first taste of fall weather Monday and into Tuesday.

A cold front is settling over Colorado, bringing rain, snow, and wind gusts that will usher in a sharp drop in temperatures.

This front will limit high temperatures in Denver to just the mid to high 70s on Monday, as winds pick up out of the north and could gust up to 30 mph.

Denver will also see a good chance of thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening. Overnight showers are expected to persist, with light to moderate rainfall anticipated.
