Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) is making things personal with a colleague who defied her.

Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.), along with three other Republicans, joined all Democrats in striking down Mace’s effort to censure Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) over her response to the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk . The measure fell one short of passing last Wednesday — as Mace took aim at Omar, claiming she “mocked the cold-blooded assassination of an innocent American husband and father.”

Mills defended his stance shortly afterward, writing in a post on X that "We may not like or agree with what someone says, but that does not mean we should deny their [First Amendment] Right."
