GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - A man was sentenced to 25 years in prison on a 2023 attempted murder charge in Easley.

On December 17, 2023, 35-year-old Antonio Delanor Kenney was involved in an argument when he pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the neck at a home in Easley, according to a press release from the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina.

The release said Kenney then left the scene before he was arrested in Greenville in possession of the gun.

According to the release, the victim was paralyzed as a result of the shooting.

Kenney pleaded guilty to attempted murder and, according to the thirteenth judicial circuit, must serve 85% of his 25 year sentence in the South Carolina Department of Corrections before he is eligible for parole.
