Appalachian Arts Alliance to celebrate month of giving

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - October is the month of giving for the Appalachian Arts Alliance.

Known as “Donate and Create,” the month allows folks to donate to the nonprofit or purchase fundraising items.

The Arts Alliance has partnered with other local businesses in the past for fundraising items such as t-shirts and candles.

Director of Education Lindsey Branson said by donating, you are not only helping the Art Station, but helping kids in Eastern Kentucky express themselves through arts education.

“We are so grateful for our community. Without their support, we wouldn’t be able to be here on Main Street offering guitar lessons, dance, theater,” she said. “Any donation that comes in helps the kids that want to come out and learn all the arts. Anything they can think of we’re going to offer
