A man is suspected of using a handgun during recent armed robberies of convenience stores in Northeast El Paso.

The man is suspected of at least two robberies in less than a month in an unsolved case that is Crime Stoppers of El Paso's Crime of the Week .

He was alleged to have had a revolver in the second robbery and made a threat of having a gun in both cases, Crime Stoppers police liaison Sgt. Javier Sambrano said in a news release.

The first robbery occurred at 2:55 p.m. on Aug. 15 at the DK store at 4525 Sun Valley Drive next to the Patriot Freeway, Crime Stoppers reported.

The second robbery was at 3:10 a.m. on Sept. 10 at the Circle K store, 10650 Gateway North Blvd., next to the Patriot Freeway and Kenworthy Street.
