RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with a shooting last month.

Deputies said Deandre Moye, 28, is wanted for attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and felon in possession following an August 16 shooting in the area of Beatty Road and Kay Street .

On the day of the incident, deputies were flagged down around 6:30 p.m. after reports of a man being shot. They found an adult victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. Deputies rendered aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim to the hospital. The suspect fled before law enforcement arrived.

Investigators identified Moye as the suspect and issued warrants for his arrest.
