Wind played a factor in a deadly that took the life of a Montgomery County lawmaker and injured two others, according to a preliminary report released by the National Transportation Safety Board.

The three-page report outlines how the Piper Archer Cherokee plane co-piloted by Daniel Wilson, who represented District 5 on the Montgomery County Legislature, took off from Albany International Airport on the morning of July 30 en route to the Block Island State Airport in Rhode Island with two other passengers for a lunch outing.
