For the second straight season, the Campbell County boys golf team won the 4A state title.
CCHS scored 294 on day one of the state tournament in Cheyenne, two strokes behind Laramie. But on the second day, the Camels shot 296 to jump Laramie, who shot a 308.
They also had two of the top three individual golfers, with Cade Peterson and Jaxon Burr finishing second and third, respectively.
The Campbell County girls finished second to Evanston with a 258 on day one and a 257 on day two, and Cadence Smith and Kodi Wood earned top-10 finishes individually.
Thunder Basin also had a solid showing. The boys finished third, four strokes behind Laramie, with both Gibby Williams and Brooks Watts tying for fifth place, and the girls took fifth, with Jenna Fox earning a top-10 spot.
