The charge against a Cranbrook man arrested in the death of a Calgary woman who was found in medical distress by a northeast pathway has been upgraded to murder.
Nehemiah Walter John Oslund appeared in Calgary Court of Justice on Monday via video link from the Calgary Remand Centre and Crown prosecutor Brian Hadford formally transferred process in his case to a new charging information.

Oslund, 29, had originally been charged with manslaughter in the death of Jelisa Maschki following his arrest last month in his hometown.
But after considering the evidence the prosecution has now charged him with second-degree murder.
