RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A man is facing criminal citations after 101 cats were recovered earlier this month.
Arthur Vanderhoef is now facing citations for failure to provide air, food, shelter or water to an impounded or confined animal, failure to keep an animal in sanitary conditions, endangering an animal, and exceeding the number of dogs/cats on a premises without a permit.
His first court hearing will be on Oct. 14.
The cats were taken to the Washoe County Shelter, which has caused it to become full.
