Two Mill River Unified Union schools underwent lockdown procedures on Friday in response to an unauthorized person trying to get onto school campuses, according to district Superintendent Cheryl Gonzalez.

Gonzalez confirmed in a Friday afternoon message to parents and guardians that there were no direct threats made, and all students remained safe and secure for the duration of the school day. She said the choice to lockdown was made out of an abundance of caution.
