There will be no casino built in Manhattan.

On Monday, a committee struck down the proposal for a casino in Midtown East. The vote came after two committees struck down proposals for casinos in Times Square and Hell's Kitchen last week.

Councilmember Keith Powers, who represents the district and appointed a member of the committee who voted on the project, joined "News All Day" to talk more about it.
