BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Bellefonte man is facing attempted homicide and multiple assault charges after police said he attacked a woman during a violent incident in Spring Township.
According to a criminal complaint, 44-year-old Jason Lee Hannon was arrested Sept. 22 after police were dispatched to Halfmoon Street around 7:39 a.m. for a report of a woman yelling for help. Officers arrived minutes later and found a woman visibly upset and bleeding from her face.
Police said the woman told officers Hannon grabbed her in a bear hug, forced her onto a bed while armed with a knife, and shoved pajama pants into her mouth to stop her from breathing.
