An 18-year-old is dead and three juveniles injured after a wreck Sunday night in Decatur, according to police.

About 9:50 p.m. Sunday, officers with the Decatur Police Department, Decatur Fire, and Morgan County EMS responded to a single-vehicle wreck in the area of Betty Street SW and Spring Avenue SW.

Decatur Police say, when officers arrived, they determined the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old male, was transported to the hospital. Police say he later succumbed to his injuries.

Three juvenile passengers were also transported to the hospital to receive treatment.

The wreck remains under investigation at this time.
