DENVER (KDVR) — People whose greatest fear is creepy-crawlers often rejoice when the weather turns cold, but a change in the weather can often create even more encounters with the commonly feared creatures.

Cold weather does usually serve as a natural indicator for most living things in nature to depart for a couple of months, but for several different species, the cold only serves as a sign to seek out warmth — something that humans have plenty to offer.

The National Pest Management Association's Bug Barometer predicts that milder temperatures will extend pest season this year, possibly until winter.
