STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A newly opened, state-of-the-art school campus on Staten Island was officially unveiled Monday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and renamed in honor of a beloved community leader.
New York City education leaders, education officials, elected officials, community leaders, and families came together to celebrate the grand opening of the newly expanded PS/I.S. 26 school in Travis , which also holds the newly created District 75 school, Staten Island Rise Academy.
