BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Buffalo State University announced on Monday that hot water has been restored to all of its campus buildings.
University officials said it may take time for the hot water to reach all showers and faucets. They advised to let the water run for 10 minutes if hot water isn't immediately available.
Around 650 students were previously without hot water since Sept. 4 when the university's underground steam infrastructure had an "unanticipated interruption of steam," which resulted in the boilers being shut down for repairs.
Four days later, the university brought trailers with hot water on campus for students to shower. A student, who asked to remain anonymous, said other students reported seeing homeless people enter the trailers.
