ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) - A Prairieville man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography, according to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said Frederick Lake, 37, pleaded guilty to four counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles and 15 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.

Agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation began investigating Lake in December of 2022 after a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Investigators identified Lake as a suspect and found evidence indicating he had downloaded and uploaded digital files with child sexual abuse material, prosecutors said. They added that investigat
