PALESTINE, Texas (KETK)-- The popular fast-food chain Layne's Chicken Fingers will be opening a new location in Palestine in 2026.

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction for the new restaurant is expected to begin on Oct. 2 and will be located off of South Loop 256. Construction is expected to be completed by Feb. 2, 2026, and the restaurant will open shortly afterward.

Funding for the 2,727-square-foot project is solely private and is estimated to cost $2,020,000.

This will be the third Layne's coming to East Texas, as there is currently one in Tyler and in Nacogdoches.
