GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - September 22nd marks the beginning of Child Passenger Safety Week, a time Gainesville police officers want to remind everyone about the importance of securing children in vehicles safely.
On July 24th, a crash on Williston Road killed two children. According to the crash report, they were not buckled and were on their mother’s lap.
Officials say it’s a reminder of how important it is to use the right car seats for kids, and to never hold a child in your lap.
