A national Muslim civil rights group is condemning the distribution of pamphlets with white supremacist messaging at homes in Franklin County over the weekend.

State police have also launched an investigation into the incident, reported TV station abc27 in Harrisburg.

According to state police, they were notified of the pamphlets on residential properties in the Fayetteville and Shippensburg areas Sunday morning.

Police did not describe what the pamphlets said.

State police told abc27 that there was no evidence yet showing a particular resident was targeted, nor is there an ongoing danger to the community.

On Monday, the national and Pittsburgh chapters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned the incident.
