NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — After nearly three decades of working with the North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD, Officer Tommy Norman announced his retirement from his position.

This announcement comes about a week after his arrest in connection to what the NLRPD described as a "domestic violence incident." He now faces a charge for one count of third-degree domestic battery

For years, Norman has become well-known for his compassionate form of community policing throughout the North Little Rock community.

He first entered the force on June 15, 1998, and has been working to help serve and improve his community ever since.

Now, he is known worldwide for his efforts in bridging gaps between himself and his community, with close to four million followers on social media.
