Hillels and Chabads in both the Cleveland and Columbus area are readying to help keep students and young people connected to their Jewish faith as they make the transition into adulthood by providing plenty of opportunities to come together and celebrate during the High Holy Days.
The Cleveland Jewish News spoke with leaders of those organizations about what their organizations are doing to prepare and engage students throughout the holiday season.
Chabad at Case Western Reserve University
Sara Alevsky, who is the co-director of Chabad at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland with her husband, Rabbi Mendy Alevsky, said that preperations for the High Holy Days started in August and that many Jewish students have already been involved in the pre-process, which has been “amazing.”
