State Rep. Eric Synenberg, D-Beachwood, released a statement on Sept. 19 condemning acts of political violence and inflammatory rhetoric, both of which have increasingly become a concern of national attention following a pair of assassinations on political figures this year.
The press release comes in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a conservative political commentator, at the hands of a gunman at a public debate event on the Utah Valley University Campus on Sept. 10, but it also makes mention of the death of Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman, who was assassinated along with her husband, Mark, on June 14.
