WASHINGTON — Days after securing the RFK stadium deal , D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has her eyes set on the nation's capital hosting the NFL Super Bowl in 2031 .
The District is already slated to host the NFL Draft in 2027 .
"In a couple of years, we are going to host the NFL Draft on the National Mall, and I believe, you heard it here, in 2031 we are going to host the Super Bowl. Alright? That's what I believe," Bowser said Monday morning during the annual State of the District conference hosted by the DC Chamber of Commerce.
Construction is set to break ground at the old RFK site in 2026 with the new Washington Commanders stadium expecting to open in 2030.
