LUDINGTON — The Ludington Police Department received a phone call threatening to drive a vehicle into the department building at 1:16 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, prompting precautionary safety measures at the Ludington Municipal Building.
Per a Sept. 22 news release, the threat was received after regular business hours at the municipal offices.
The threat reportedly posed a potential risk to city and police personnel, according to the department. Police closed the office to protect civilian staff and placed temporary barricades at key access points, including parking lot entrances and areas vulnerable to vehicle intrusion.
After an initial investigation, the threat was deemed not credible. Barricades were removed and normal operations resumed. The municipal building is open to the publ
