A Long Island lawyer who plowed his Jeep into parked cars after a night of drinking at a cigar lounge was publicly censured by a state appeals court.
The Appellate Division, Second Department, slapped attorney Alex Joseph Kaminski with a public censure after finding that his actions behind the wheel — and his subsequent guilty plea to driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident — amounted to professional misconduct.
Kaminski, admitted to the bar in 2014 and an associate at Davis & Ferber in Bay Shore, had already served 80 days in jail and is on three years of probation. His driver’s license was revoked for at least six months, and he was ordered to attend treatment programs, install an ignition interlock device and complete 100 hours of community service.
