BROOKLYN — THE LATE-NIGHT SHOW OF BROOKLYN NATIVE AND COMEDIAN Jimmy Kimmel is set to return to ABC on Tuesday night, reports Fortune , following its abrupt suspension in the wake of conservative backlash to comments made by Kimmel about the recent killing of political activist Charlie Kirk. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr had urged major affiliates to “preempt” Kimmel’s show and had threatened to take unspecified further action over the remarks. The suspension generated another backlash against ABC owner Disney, leading to a campaign to cancel Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions.
