YORK, Neb. (KOLN) — The York man accused of stalking, harassing and enticing two young girls — as well as possessing child pornography — was sentenced Monday in both cases.

Norstad Bergesen, 66, was sentenced to 7 years in prison with 72 days’ credit for time served. After his release, he will begin an 18-month term of supervised release.

Bergesen was originally charged with 19 felony counts in York County but pleaded down to two counts of intentional child abuse and one count of attempted possession of child pornography.

According to court records, the case began on July 12, 2024, when a woman reported that a neighbor had been bothering her daughters, both under the age of 11.
