Riverside County residents who want to make a hands-on difference promoting and demonstrating the benefits of recycling have one final opportunity this year to receive training for volunteer certification by the Department of Waste Resources.

The agency will host its last outreach volunteers training session of 2025 at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Department of Waste Resources’ administrative building, 14310 Frederick St., Moreno Valley.

“This program is a great way for residents to get involved, give back and help lead change in their own community,” Volunteer Services Coordinator Mike Perez said.

The orientation for prospective volunteers, who can be as young as 15 years old, will run until around noon Saturday, featuring interactive presentations that “will equip volunteers with the tools,
