SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk police are investigating a collision that occurred between a freight train and a truck.
Police said that on Monday around 2:15 p.m., they were called to the 1200 block of Portsmouth Boulevard. They discovered that, at a private, uncontrolled railroad crossing, a CSX freight train had collided with a commercial motor vehicle.
Police said the train did not derail as a result of the collision, but stopped afterward, and no injuries were reported.
Suffolk police said there are currently no street closures as a result of the collision.
Police said they continue to investigate the incident.
