President Donald Trump praised U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) as she reportedly mulls a potential 2028 bid for the White House.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Trump in a recent interview on “The Sunday Briefing” whether he had anything “nice” to say about Ocasio-Cortez, a sharp critic of the president and the Republican Party. The interview aired after Axios reported on Friday that Ocasio-Cortez is quietly preparing for a 2028 run for Senate or the White House.

Trump said he disagreed with her “philosophy,” but praised her “spunk” while campaigning. He also said he told Joe Crowley, the incumbent Democrat that Ocasio-Cortez defeated in the 2018 primary, that he was going to “lose” if he did not campaign harder.
