Hannah Ingersoll won a sectional as a freshman. She finished second at last year's sectional after losing a playoff match. She didn't leave any doubt this time around.

The Munster junior shot a 73 — five shots clear of second place — to win her second career sectional medal. It was a key part in the Mustangs besting Lake Central to capture the Sectional 2 championship Monday at Palmira Golf and Country Club.

Ingersoll was followed in second place by teammate Josephine Zangrilli, who shot a 78. Lake Central's Piper Urbanski carded a 79 for third, Crown Point's Charlie Zentz posted an 80 for fourth and Lake Central's Victoria Schilling scored an 81 to round out the top five.
