KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — One person is seriously injured after crashing through a guard rail and being thrown from their vehicle, according to a post from Knox County Rural Metro Fire.
Rural Metro said it responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 7900 block of Martin Mill Pike, where a car hit a guard rail and went down into a creek.

According to Rural Metro, the impact caused the "unrestrained" person to be thrown from the vehicle, leaving them with serious injuries. Crews used a low-angle rope hauling system to get the person out of the creek bed and into an ambulance.
"Please be careful and follow the law and wear your seatbelt," Rural Metro said.
