BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
St. Andrews Church in the Five Points South community held a service to commemorate the four lives lost one year ago in a mass shooting , aiming to support the grieving community and honor the victims.
Jack Drake, senior warden at St. Andrews, said, "We are a church located here in the Five Points South side community and we had a mass killing seven or eight blocks from here."
He emphasized the church's commitment to responding to the tragedy.
The victims, Anitra Holloman, Carlos McCain, Roderick Patterson Jr., and Tahj Booker, were remembered during the service.

Drake assured the community, "We are here for them and the Christian community is here for them."
