INDIANAPOLIS — A man was sentenced to 45 years as part of a plea agreement in a 2023 murder case on the north side of Indianapolis.
As part of the plea agreement, Jermerrell Hubbard, of Indianapolis, agreed to plead guilty to murder and attempted murder. Other charges of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and murder were dismissed.
Hubbard was sentenced to 45 years for murder and 30 years for attempted murder — with those sentences served at the same time.
He'll also have to register as a serious violent felon.
The shooting happened shortly before 1 p.m. Jan. 30, 2023, at the Carlton Apartments in the 2500 block of Plaza Drive, near 86th Street and Township Line Road.
When police arrived, they found a man who had been shot. Medics pronounced that man dead at the scene.
