Leaders of a Jersey Shore town say that they are fed up with other towns sending unhoused people their way so now they're placing tougher limits of how long people can stay in hotels and motels.
City leaders in Absecon and Galloway Township say they have seen an uptick in other communities sending unhoused people with subsidized vouchers to pay for hotel and motel rooms.

"It takes such a drain on our services," Absecon Mayor Tommy Marrone said. "Hotels are not a de facto homeless shelter. There's no kitchen. It's transient by nature. It's transient by code. People should not be living in a motel.”
A new ordinance is making it illegal to stay in a hotel or motel room for more than 14
