A Louisiana boy who lives in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans was kidnapped at gunpoint from a bus stop and taken to a vacant home on Sept. 19

The 10-year-old boy then had to strip to his underwear, said his mother, so his captors could take pictures

When the kidnappers went to get a camera, the boy allegedly kicked down the door and fled with another young boy being held there

A Louisiana boy managed to flee from his captors after allegedly being kidnapped at his bus stop after school last week.

It all happened just before 5 p.m. on Sept. 19, when the 10-year-old boy was walking near his home in New Orleans' Algiers neighborhood, a spokesperson for the New Orleans Police Department tells PEOPLE.
