DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Saturday, September 20, was the grand opening of Thrive Syracuse, a new dispensary located at 3065 Erie Boulevard that wants to do a whole lot more.
"One of the owners graduated from Syracuse University. They found out about [the Center for Community Alternatives] and everything they do for the people in Syracuse. So, they thought, why not give back and open a cannabis dispensary here in partnership with their license," said Aladdin Chapel, the operations manager for Thrive Syracuse.
Thrive said 51% of their profits will be donated to the Center for Community Alternatives, a local organization helping people and families affected by incarceration.
