HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) -- The Warrick County Coroner’s Office is reported a significant rise in infant deaths linked to unsafe sleep practices.
According to the coroner's office, Warrick County has experienced a threefold increase in unsafe sleep deaths since the beginning of the year. The coroner's office says the cases now represent the leading cause of preventable death among children under the age of 18 in the county.
The coroner's office says since 2016, Warrick County has documented six unsafe sleep deaths, three of which occurred in 2025.
