Teen shot in leg overnight as Allegheny County Police search for shooting scene

North Braddock, PA — A 17-year-old male is recovering after being shot in the leg early Saturday morning, but police are still working to determine exactly where the shooting took place.

At approximately 2:50 a.m., Allegheny County 9-1-1 received a call reporting a teen with a gunshot wound on the 1000 block of Wolfe Avenue in North Braddock. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit responded to assist local authorities. Based on preliminary information, investigators believe the shooting may have occurred in East Pittsburgh, though the precise location remains unknown.
