It's official. We now know the amount of this year’s Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend , and it’s one of the lowest in the past decade.
Eligible Alaskans will receive a flat payment of $1,000 for 2025. The amount was set by the state Legislature as part of House Bill 53, Alaska’s annual operating budget.
Payments begin Thursday, October 2, for those who filed electronically and requested direct deposit. For other eligible applicants, including paper filings, payments will go out on October 23rd.
More than 600,000 Alaskans are expected to receive the dividend this year. Residents are encouraged to check the status of their PFD application online at MyPFD.
That’s $1,000 headed to qualifying Alaskans starting next week, one of the smallest payouts in recent memory.
