EMCC mourns loss of their president

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Eastern Maine Community College is mourning the loss of their president.

According to her obituary, Liz Russell passed away at her home on Sunday.

According to the school’s Facebook post, Russell was with EMCC for more than three decades.

The post reads: “Liz was more than our president. She was a mentor, a colleague, and a friend whose warmth, humor, and compassion touched every corner of our campus. Whether it was walking a student to their class or clearing a sidewalk after a snowstorm, Liz got it done.”
