ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - With a goal of restoring water habitats, the Army Corps of Engineers launched an online tool to see how people use the river and the land around it.
The Mississippi & Illinois River Experience Tool asks people questions like what they do in or along the river, such as boating, fishing, exercise, or just enjoying the view.
They also want to know what has changed that has caused problems or has improved conditions.
The responses will help decision-making for projects along the Upper Mississippi River and Illinois River Waterway in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri.
